First Graders Entertain Veterans

Ed Perley - 11/15/2019

The first graders and veterans gathered together to work on puzzles, play games, read, and eat snacks.
Veterans told about their experiences in the military.  As he does every year, Hank Sauer demonstrated, with the help of two students, how to fold the flag.

Hank Sauer presented an Amercan flag to the class.  He asked them to care for the flag until they graduate from high school, and then gift it to the first grade.

The children sang to entertain  them.  Afterward, they helped serve our lunch.  Everyone had a good time.
