Yutan Memorial Day Program May 26, 2025

Ed Perley - 5/26/2025

A Memorial Day Program was held at the Hollst-Lawn Cemetary south of Yutan.

The Posting of the Colors and Rifle Salute were performed by the Yutan VFW and American Legion.  The Yutan High School Band and the Yutan Choir provided the music.

The invocation was given by Pastor Dave Maloy of St John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.  Mark Ray gave the Welcome and the Memorial Address.  Butch Juedes gave the Roll Call of the Dead.  Douglas Irvin, the Yutan American Legion Commander, placed the wreath to honor our dead service members.

The choir sang "God Bless the USA", and the band played "America the Beautiful" and "Land of Liberty."  "Taps" was played by Nate Capron and Kinsley Smith.

A meal was served by the Legion Auxiliary at the Yutan Country Club for all of those who attended.

We had a very big attendance of over two hundred.

A big Thank You for all of those who participated in the event.
