The Yutan VFW and American Legion held a Veterans Day ceremony at the Yutan High School. The Yutan High School Band , the Yutan Junior High and High School Choir, and the First Grade class took part.
Our guest speaker was Dave Weber, a veteran sports announcer on WOWT. He gave a heartfelt tribute to all of the veterans of past and present wars. They he took up his guitar and sang a touching song about how a childhood freindship is reaffirmed on a battlefield.
That afternoon the Yutan VFW and American Legion also held a ceremony at the Mead High School. Their student choir participated. This was a first for us. It was greatly appreciated.
