Teen from Nebraska in the Running to Win a $30,000 Scholarship from the VFW!
High school students across the country recorded audio-essays on this year's theme: "Why My Vote Matters."
We've selected one winner from each state to qualify for the grand prize, a $30,000 scholarship to the college or technical school of their choice.
The VFW's Voice of Democracy competition allows high school students to compete for more than $2.1 million in scholarships and incentives.
The grand-prize winner will be announced on Monday, March 4, at the VFW Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C. Watch a live stream of the Parade of Winners on March 4, at 6 p.m. (EST).
Show your support for these patriotic teens by sharing their audio clips with your friends and family.
